Near the island of Montreal, the Lac Berval Outfitters offers you a unique nature experience, enjoy captivating fishing on our beautiful regularly stocked lake and stay in one of our magnificent chalets.
Open year-round, we offer brook trout and rainbow trout fishing in a enchanting setting. Easily accessible, the outfitter offers accommodation packages with fishing and day fishing. The chalets are all equipped and allow for a most memorable stay.
Our team
Owner of the outfitters since 2005, Marc-André is an avid fisherman as well as a vegetable producer from Montérégie. Motivated by his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for fishing, he challenged himself to revamp the outfitter experience to modernize it and make it accessible for both amateur fishermen and the most passionate, all in an uncommon comfort in the industry. Because of his farming job, it is impossible for him to be permanently at the outfitters, especially in the summer season!
The administration is composed of Claudia who handles several roles (administration, accounting, and marketing) and Sonia who takes care of the administrative aspect of your stay!
On the outfitter site, Mike, the manager and his team, will ensure that your experience is most memorable.
Fishing
Lac Berval covers an area of 27 hectares with a maximum depth of 11 m which houses two species of trout: brook and rainbow. The high season for these species is May and June as the water is colder. During the summer season of July and August, the warmer temperatures mean that we need to adapt our techniques and prioritize deeper or shaded areas where the water is colder.

Do not hesitate to ask us for advice during your visit, depending on the weather of the day there are sometimes particular tricks to improve your results.
Being open year-round, you can enjoy fishing even late in the fall. Little known, autumn fishing is excellent and resembles much the success of spring fishing. Surface fishing or fly fishing is favored.
Accommodation
The Lac Berval Outfitters offers you a variety of accommodation: a large chalet perfect for groups, Le Rassembleur (up to 16 people), log chalets including 4 large chalets that can accommodate up to 8 people and 3 small chalets ideal for a couple or a small family. All our chalets are fully equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, wood fireplace and charcoal or propane BBQ depending on the chalet.
Built in 2007, 3 of the large chalets are located on the main site, while the other 2: The Gatherer built in 2022 and the Fisherman in 2014 are completely isolated. They have a charm that invites you to completely unwind!
Winter
After a good day of ice fishing, explore one of our snowshoe trails and then end the evening warm in front of a wood fire in one of our cozy chalets.
Activities
Clients have access to a multitude of activities directly at the outfitter such as kayaking, pedalo, stand-up paddleboarding, fat bikes, hiking and much more!
