Yes. Pourvoirie du Lac Berval is open year-round. In summer, enjoy trout fishing and activities on the lake, while in winter, ice fishing and chalet stays let you make the most of the winter season.
Two species of trout can be caught at Lac Berval: brook trout and rainbow trout.
Yes. Pourvoirie du Lac Berval offers day fishing without accommodation, in both summer and winter. In summer, the fishing access includes a boat, an electric motor and two batteries. In winter, ice fishing is also available for day visitors. Reservations are recommended to ensure availability.
Yes. Ice fishing is available in winter, either for the day or with cabin accommodation.
Yes. A Quebec fishing licence is required to fish at Lake Berval and is not included in our packages. Under provincial regulations, children and a spouse living at the same address may, under certain conditions, fish under the licence holder’s licence. Please note that only guests who have both a fishing licence and a fishing right are entitled to their own limit of 10 trout.

A fishing licence and a fishing right are two different things.
The fishing licence is the provincial licence required to fish in Quebec. It is not included in our packages.
The fishing right gives you access to fish at Lake Berval for the period covered by your reservation. It is included in our fishing packages.
A fishing right does not replace the provincial fishing licence. When required, you need both to fish at Lake Berval.
You can purchase medium-sized earthworms, bags of ice and a selection of trout fishing supplies on site.
Yes. We rent fishing rods that are ready to use, including line, lure and hook.
Boat seats, landing nets, personal flotation devices and a fish finder are also available for rent..

Lake Berval has a maximum depth of approximately 11 metres (36 feet). You can view or print our Lake Berval bathymetric map to see the different depths, waterways, their directions and nearby roads.
Anyone operating a motorized boat must carry proof of competency on board. If you have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card, please bring it with you.
If you do not have one, you can complete a Rental Boat Safety Checklist on site. Once completed and signed, it serves as proof of competency for the duration of the rental only.
No. Because we have only one lake, we need to limit the number of boats operating on it. For this reason, personal boats are not permitted.
To help protect the lake and reduce the risk of introducing algae or other unwanted species, personal motors are not permitted either.
All of our fishing packages include a 14-foot fiberglass boat, a 40 lb-thrust electric motor and two batteries. The batteries can be recharged on site at no additional cost.
Each boat also includes the required safety equipment, two oars, an anchor and a container for your catch.
No. To help protect Lake Berval from invasive aquatic species, personal kayaks and paddleboards are not permitted on the lake.
Kayaks and paddleboards are available free of charge with our accommodation packages.

The chalets are available until 16:00 and you can arrive until 20:00. You must leave your cottage at 11.00.
Pets are accepted with fees of $ 25.00. It is mandatory to keep them on a leash at all times. If they cause damage, the pet owner is responsible.
Yes. All of our cabins have electricity.
You can view and print our “What to Bring” checklist to help prepare for your stay. It includes information on what to pack and what is provided in our cabins.
No. We do not have a restaurant on site and alcoholic beverages are not sold at the outfitter. Day-fishing guests are welcome to bring their own lunch and use the outdoor picnic tables.
All of our cabins are equipped with a kitchen so you can prepare your own meals during your stay.
