As you drive the winding road to Duhamel, with spruces lining your path like silent guardians, a familiar calm settles in. It’s in this natural haven, deep in the wilds of Outaouais, that a new chapter is being written for a place well known by outdoor enthusiasts: Pourvoirie Club des Douze, now proudly reborn as Pourvoirie Légendes Des Bois.
Unknowingly, it was during a visit to this enchanting place that Claudia and Marc-André decided to take on a new challenge: the adventure of a second outfitter.
Where generations of anglers have cast their lines, and where hunters once roamed in search of pheasants, a new team now takes up the torch — with both respect and passion. Yes, the name has changed, and so has the logo, but the spirit of the place remains intact.
“An outfitter is more than just land — it’s a place full of shared memories. And we’re proud to carry that story forward with you,” says Marc-André, one of the four new faces behind Légendes Des Bois. The idea for the new name was born from a desire to bring Québec legends to life in a magical setting. And that’s exactly what the team wants to offer: preserving that unique bond between nature and those who come to reconnect with it.
What’s Changing (And What Never Will)
From the moment you arrive, you feel a breath of fresh air — without losing that old charm. The cabins have been refreshed, the welcome remains warm, and there’s a genuine desire to offer a hassle-free stay, centered around enjoyment. But the classics, of course, remain:
- The trout still bite just as well in our lakes.
- Campfires still warm up those starry nights.
- And the peace and quiet? Still perfectly intact.
